AXIS 3 COMPETITIVENESS OF PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
ACTION 3.4.1 “Export promotion projects targeting companies and their aggregated forms identified on a territorial or sectoral basis
Export the Circular Economy (ECE)

The project constitutes the first structured internationalization experience of Veneto Green Cluster, a network distinguished by such a level of multisectoriality and interdisciplinarity that a good part of the existing commodity sectors are represented in it, including knowledge-intensive services in technological fields of the most diverse.

Green Tech Italy has identified for this first project export-oriented enterprises, representative of strategic regional sectors, capable of offering a system of products/solutions/technologies expressing virtuous practices of resource optimization and enhancement of primary and secondary flows. Through collective and/or individual actions, where each enterprise addresses specific issues, they were given the task of promoting a new product/service concept, which regardless of intrinsic and functional qualities, was attentive to:

  • Reduce resource consumption or empower the end consumer to do so,
  • to the reuse of a product for the same purpose in its original form or with few improvements or modifications,
  • to regeneration related to the processes of product renewal and component remanufacturing,
  • to recycling in the various forms of material recovery and conversion.

The companies involved represent the following sectors: agribusiness (Distillerie Bonollo Umberto spa), furniture/building (Metalco srl, Ferrari BK srl), plastics (Mon Plast srl), integrated water management (2F Water Venture srl – IWS), and integrated waste management (Elite Ambiente srl).
The interventions carried out included:

  • Participation in international exhibition events
  • Incoming events at participating companies
  • Launching new products in international markets

Allowed expenditure: euro 499,583.30
Public support granted: euro 249,791.65

ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECT OF THE POMACE PRE-PROCESSING STAGE

ACTION 4.2.1 – “INCENTIVES AIMED AT REDUCING ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND CLIMATE-CHANGING GAS EMISSIONS OF ENTERPRISES AND PRODUCTION AREAS INCLUDING THE INSTALLATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION SYSTEMS FOR SELF-CONSUMPTION, GIVING PRIORITY TO HIGH-EFFICIENCY TECHNOLOGIES.”

Energy efficiency project of the pomace pre-processing stage

Bonollo has been processing pomace, a precious commodity of nature that is obtained as a result of the vinification of grapes, for more than 110 years. With a view to continuing to enhance the value of this precious asset, Bonollo is committed through interventions aimed at improving and making efficient its production systems. In particular, in the Conselve Distillery, thanks to the support of Regional Operational Program (ROP), the Veneto Region, the European Union and the Republic of Italy, in the period 2017/2018 a complex plan was carried out to improve the efficiency of the drying process of grape peel subsequent to the extraction of the alcoholic and aromatic components from which grappa is obtained.

Thanks to this intervention, it has been possible to reduce the consumption of electricity and biomass for combustion, resulting in an improved environmental impact and a significant reduction in waste. Specifically, compared to the period prior to the intervention (year 2016), the following were saved:
3,117 TOE of total energy consumption
32,261,861 kWh of total energy consumption
6,833,235 kg of CO2 of total emissions

The project was co-financed with a public grant of €150,000, and is part of a broader, virtuous corporate path directed at reducing environmental impact.

ACTION 1.1.2 – “SUPPORT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SERVICES FOR TECHNOLOGICAL, STRATEGIC, ORGANIZATIONAL AND BUSINESS INNOVATION OF ENTERPRISES”

Pilot experimentation project for grape seed enhancement

As part of the valorization of grape seeds, in relation to the polyphenols they contain, Bonollo has chosen to further analyze how grape seeds are dried for sale to companies specializing in the extraction and valorization of the nutraceutical principles they contain. The project was co-financed with a public grant of €7,500.00

ACTION 3.3.1 – “SUPPORT FOR COMPETITIVE REPOSITIONING, MARKET ADAPTABILITY, ATTRACTIVENESS FOR POTENTIAL INVESTORS, OF TERRITORIALLY DELIMITED VIABLE BUSINESS SYSTEMS”

Logistics optimization project in the plant feeding process

In order to improve the process of plant feeding Bonollo chose to apply a new method of logistics and raw material handling management, introducing equipment and means inspired by the Industry 4.0 model and integrating them with state-of-the-art business management software for automated and digitally tracked quality control, capable of eliminating any inefficiencies. It was therefore necessary to define an upstream schedule, determining the sequence according to which operations should be performed (sequencing) and to create, for each operation, a computer schedule containing precise instructions for the operator about the quantities of raw material to be handled. Each handling operation is then closely linked to predefined instructions that can be directly consulted and managed by the handling machine on which the operator works. The project was co-financed with a public grant of €48,000.00
